Supplemental Medical Insurance
Zuora offers eligible ZEOs in France supplemental medical insurance through Generali. All enrolled ZEOs are automatically covered under the Base Plan (régime de base), with the option to add enhanced coverage by enrolling in the Optional Plan (régime optionnel). Claims can be submitted for reimbursement through the Generali mobile app or website.
Dependent Coverage
ZEOs have the option to enroll dependents at an additional compulsory cost. Eligible dependents include:
- Spouse, PACS partner (civil union), or recognized partner
- Concubin (unmarried cohabiting partner)
- Children
- Under 20 years old
- Under 28 years old if in full-time education, apprenticeship, or actively seeking their first job
- No age limit if the child is disabled

Medical Cost
The supplemental medical plans in France operate on a reimbursement basis, complementing the coverage provided by Social Security. Premiums are calculated as a percentage of Social Security contributions.
Base Plan (Régime de Base): Zuora covers 2/3 of the monthly premium (for the employee + dependents).
The monthly contribution premium rates are as follows:
- Single cover: 2.64% (for employee only)
- Duo: 4.34% (for employee + 1 dependent [partner or child])
- Family: 8.10% (family cover [for 2+ dependents])
Optional Plan (Régime Optionnel): If selected, the employee will be responsible for the additional cost of this cover. To upgrade your cover to the Optional Plan, please complete this form, and email it to Roxy Boydell at rboydell@zuora.com.
The monthly contribution premium rates are as follows:
- Single cover: 0.48% (for employee only)
- Duo: 0.89% (for employee + 1 dependent [partner or child])
- Family: 1.30% (family cover [for 2+ dependents])
Life Insurance
Effective for all eligible ZEOs in France, this company-paid life and disability insurance provides financial protection for your loved ones in the event of death or Permanent and Total Irreversible Loss of Autonomy (PTIA).
Coverage Highlights
Benefit Amount (Non-Accidental Death or PTIA):
- Cadres (executives): 330% of your annual base salary, plus 50% additional if you have dependent children.
- Non-cadres (non-executies): 170% of your annual base salary
- +50% additional per dependent children
Accidental Death/PTIA (Cadres only):
- Benefit is doubled in case of accidental death or PTIA
Double Joint Coverage:
- Additional benefit paid if your spouse or civil partner passes away at the same time or shortly after you, before retirement age
- Up to 200% additional coverage depending upon timing and employment category
Child Education Pension:
- Paid annually to each dependent child in the event of your death or PTIA
- Continues:
- Until age 18
- From 18-21 (or up to 26) if the child remains dependent
- Indefinitely for children with a recognized disability
- Payment Amount:
- 12% to 15% of salary depending on child's age
- If both parents are deceased, the pension amount is doubled
Cost
- The benefit is fully paid for by Zuora
Beneficiary
- The payout will go to the testamentary heir (as defined in your legal will or by French inheritance law).
Disability & Income Protection
Zuora provides company-paid insurance that protects you financially if you become temporarily or permanently unable to work due to illness, injury, or disability.
Temporary Incapacity (Short-Term Disability)
If you're temporarily unable to work:
Waiting Period: Benefits start after 90 continuous days of absence.
Daily Allowance:
- Cadres: 100% of salary (minus French Social Security)
- Non-cadres: 80% of salary (minus French Social Security)
Long-Term Disability (PTIA & Other Categories)
If your condition is long-lasting or permanent:
1. Total and Irreversible Loss of Autonomy (PTIA)
- Considered a full and permanent disability.
- Covered under life insurance, with payouts up to:
- 330% of salary for cadres
- 170% of salary for non-cadres
- Additional payout if caused by an accident (cadres only).
2. Disability Pension by Category

Minimum Guaranteed Amounts
Even if your calculated benefit is lower, you'll receive at least:
- Non-cadres (part-time): 170% of the French Social Security annual ceiling
- Cadres (part-time): 340% of the French Social Security annual ceiling

Additional Programs
- Commuter Program - Pass Navigo: ZEOs who are not eligible for a car allowance can have 50% of their public transport costs reimbursed through Payroll.
- Flu Jabs: The cost of your annual flu vaccination is covered in full under the medical plan.
- Lunch Vouchers: Managed through Edenred, you will receive EUR 12.00 per day in lunch vouchers. Zuora covers 50% of this amount, while the remaining 50% will be deducted from your salary via payroll.
