Medical Insurance

Zuora provides all eligible UK-based ZEOs with private medical insurance under the Bupa Select plan, fully funded by the company.

Dependent Coverage

ZEOs may also add eligible dependents to their medical insurance plan at their own expense. The cost will vary depending on your individual premium and whether you're adding just your partner, your partner and children, or only your children. Eligible dependents include:

  • Spouse / Partner living at the same address
  • Unmarried children (up to 24 years of age) Cover for a child dependent will automatically end on the first renewal date after their 30th birthday. policy. Child dependents are charged the adult rate from the first renewal date following their 24th birthday.

Using Your Medical Insurance

Pre-authorisation: Before You Get Care

Please contact Bupa before arranging any consultations, tests, or treatment. This will help them:

  • Confirm if the treatment is covered by our policy
  • Check if your chosen provider is within network
  • Provide you with a pre-authorisation number

Important: If you don't get pre-authorisation, you may be responsible for the full cost of treatment not approved in advance.

Quick Access for Cancer, Mental Health, or Musculoskeletal Issues

Use BUPA's Direct Access service—no General Practitioner referral needed. Call BUPA to discuss your symptoms, and they will guide you or refer you for further care if required.

For All Other Health Concerns

Start by booking a digital General Practitioner "GP" appointment. If you need assistance finding a GP that is in-network with the plan, reach out to BUPA for assistance.

Dental Insurance

Zuora provides all eligible UK-based ZEOs with group dental insurance through Bupa. Please Note: Dental cover is a taxable benefit.

Coverage Summary:

  • Level 3 dental coverage (mid-range) is provided at no cost to the employee — fully funded by Zuora.
  • You may choose to upgrade to Level 4 or Level 5 for enhanced benefits.
  • You also have the option to add your partner and/or dependent children to your plan.
  • Any upgrade or dependent coverage is employee-paid and will be deducted from your monthly salary.
  • Dental cover levels cannot be changed mid-year. You will have the opportunity to make updates during the annual renewal period in September.

Using Your Coverage:

  • Reimbursement available for routine and unexpected dental treatments up to the specified limits.
  • You may use any qualified dentist, whether private or NHS (National Health Service).
  • If you use a Bupa dental centre, you:
    • Automatically receive a discount on treatment
    • Benefit from direct settlement of claims between BUPA and the dental centre — no paperwork needed
  • Once you enroll, additional information will be provided to you by BUPA.

 Family Mental HealthLine: If you're a parent or caregiver concerned about a young person's mental wellbeing, call 0345 266 7938 (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm). Speak with trained advisers or mental health nurses for guidance—even if the child isn’t covered under your policy.

Menopause HealthLine: You or anyone covered by your policy can speak with a menopause-trained nurse for support and advice—even if you’re unsure whether symptoms relate to menopause. Partners can also call for guidance. Available daily from 8am–8pm on 0345 6089984.

Blua Digital Care: With Blua you can talk to a GP by video or audio call, day or night. You can also reach a nurse, physio or mental health specialist - all within the My Bupa app.

Retirement

Zuora supports your long-term financial wellbeing through a retirement plan with Scottish Widows.

  • Zuora Contribution: 5% of your earnings
  • ZEO Contribution: 5% of your earnings (via automatic payroll deductions)

Your combined contributions help build a secure foundation for your future retirement.

Life Insurance

Zuora provides life insurance to all eligible ZEOs to offer financial protection for your loved ones in the event of your death while employed.

  • Provider: Canada Life
  • Premiums: Fully covered by Zuora
  • Benefit Amount: Lump sum of 4× your basic annual salary
  • Payable To: Your nominated beneficiary

Beneficiaries can be updated at any time using the Nomination of Beneficiaries Form.

As part of your life insurance benefit, you also have access to a range of support services, including a Probate Helpline that connects you with probate experts who can provide guidance on will contents, estate administration, and more.

Disability Insurance

Zuora provides disability insurance to all eligible ZEOs who are unable to work due to long-term sickness or disability.

  • Provider: Canada Life
  • Premiums: Fully covered by Zuora
  • Qualifying Period: 13 weeks
  • Benefit Amount: 66% of your base salary
  • Deductions: Income tax, National Insurance, and applicable state benefits
  • Duration of Cover: Up to 5 years or until you're fit to return to work — whichever comes first

Resources through Canada Life

WeCare: WeCare is a programme that offers GP consultations and information and support on a wide range of topics that focus on the end goal of helping you lead and maintain a healthy lifestyle. These services are free, confidential and easily accessible.

MyStrength: MyStrength is an online platform that provides bespoke mental wellbeing support for employees and their immediate family members.

Additional Benefits

  • Discounted Wellness Benefits: BUPA provides access to a range of wellness discounts. Further information here.
  • Flu Jabs: Zuora will pay for the cost of your annual flu jab. Expenses can be claimed through Navan.
  • Optician Fees: Annual reimbursement of eye tests, and 80% of the cost of glasses prescribed for PC use up to £140 per year. Expenses can be claimed through Navan.
